Many children have a hard time grieving the loss of someone close to them. Community Hospice offers resources for children and teens no matter where they are on their grief journey to help ease the pain and burden that some may encounter. Our Child Grief Support Programs supports children and teens who are grieving the death of someone close to them and are offered free of charge. Through the Child Grief Support Programs at Community Hospice, grieving children and teens are able to share their story about their loss, learn healthy ways to cope, and connect with other children and teens that have had similar losses.

Chillin’ Chat 617
Community Hospice holds an open-ended Saturday support group for children and teens ages 6 to 17. This group serves as a follow up for children and teens that have gone through our school based program, Camp Erin of the Central Valley or have received support independently or through a group setting at Community Hospice. This group offers children and teens the opportunity to continue peer bonding and healing with friends they have made on their grief journey.
Camp Erin® of the Central Valley
Camp Erin of the Central Valley is a 4-day bereavement camp offered yearly to grieving children and teens in the community ages 6- 17 years old. Camp allows children and teens the opportunity to process their grief in a nature setting, while also participating in camp activities.
